Shares sum above 100% because two books can share the top price on the same market. The takeaway: DraftKings tops the price on the majority of markets and pairs that with the joint-lowest margin, which is why it leads the NFL odds ranking. Fanatics matches that margin but on a smaller share of markets. BetRivers has the widest hold in the sample, so it rarely posts the best number even where it is competitive on a single line.

The Rams are the clear NFL favourites in this sample at 6.5, roughly double the implied probability of the next group (Bills and Seahawks at 12). On outright NFL winner odds the top price is spread across four books, so line-shopping matters more on futures than on any single game — a 19 vs 20 difference on the Eagles or 49ers is a full point of value on a long-hold market. Reading NFL margins

Average margin is the sportsbook's built-in hold across a market — lower is better for the bettor. On this NFL sample the spread runs from 4.25% (DraftKings, Fanatics) to 6.35% (BetRivers), a gap of about 2.1 points.

That difference compounds. On a two-way moneyline priced at a 4.25% margin versus 6.35%, the wider book returns meaningfully less over a season of NFL betting even when both post the same nominal favourite. Because best-price share and margin move together here — DraftKings leads both — the practical decision for NFL fixtures odds is to shop the top two or three books per market rather than commit to one. Sides, totals and player props each price differently, so the best book on the moneyline is not automatically the best on a Same Game Parlay leg.
