• BetRivers — 28.3%, 6.35% margin (480 sampled)
• BetMGM — 19.9%, 5.21% margin (438 sampled)

Two takeaways for MLB bettors. First, DraftKings and Fanatics carry the tightest hold in the sample at 4.25%, meaning less baked-in vig per market — that compounds over a 162-game season and long parlay slips. Second, best-price share and margin don't always move together: Caesars matches FanDuel on best-price share (~36%) but runs a wider 5.27% margin, so its top prices are less frequent bargains and more one-off spikes. BetRivers has the widest sampled hold at 6.35%, which is the main reason line shopping across at least two books matters on baseball run lines and totals.

How we rank baseball betting sites

The order on this page weights measured MLB pricing first, then market depth and product features. Price data (best-price share and average margin) comes from sampled MLB markets; feature and safety scores are editorial ratings.

DraftKings leads on the combination of top price frequency and low hold, and its ratings back that up on product depth (market coverage 9.0, features 9.0, app 9.2) with Same Game Parlay for stacking props on a single game. FanDuel scores identically on app (9.3) and features (9.0) and is close on best-price share, making it the natural second book for line shopping. bet365 posts the highest non-price ratings in the group — market coverage 9.6, sports depth 9.5, live capability 9.4 — but was not represented in our MLB odds sample, so we can't rank it on measured baseball price. Treat its position as feature-driven, not price-verified.

BetMGM and Caesars trail on margin. BetMGM's 5.21% hold and 19.9% best-price share put it near the back on price despite solid feature scores (live betting, Same Game Parlay, Cash Out).

MLB markets and bet types to compare

Baseball rewards market depth because a single game produces moneyline, run line (typically -1.5/+1.5), game and team totals, first-five-innings lines, and a deep prop tree — strikeouts, hits, home runs, RBIs and pitcher outs.

Legal status by state
